WisconsEV visit to the Francis Energy station at the AmericInn in Ladysmith. This station is right off of hwy 27 just south of US-8 in the parking lot of a small hotel. This is a new NEVI station from Francis Energy that opened on August 8, 2025. This stop has 2 machines - with 2 CCS cables each that can be used at the same time. It is one of 4 Francis Energy stations currently in the state of Wisconsin. This is a solid stop that I rated 3-for-4, with a big miss for amenities...there's just nothing around except for the hotel. I recommend planning to stop to grab snacks or needed items and then going to charge. I pointed out that on Plugshare it was noted the hotel had no problem with you using the bathroom there, but I did not test this. There are also no garbage cans, nor squeegees. This station is set up for 2 pull through charging stalls, but that may be affected by the hotel parking at times. One of the machines is just a pull in with 2 stalls There is not much for charging infrastructure around this station for 30 miles or more, so if you want to charge around here this is the spot.
