060 Time to think sailing solo to Arendal.

First solo, on engine and at anchor, was perfect. But now the sailing started. And straight off we had quite a nice wind and some waves from earlier that day. Aiming for a Harbour but ending up at yet another anchorage. Dodging a low that passed by. Splendid location it proofed to be! :). For those who don't know me, I am Jan and I’d going to set sail for a longer period of time during this summer! Unfortunately my wife does not like sailing as much as I think I do so we can't do it all together but we found a middle ground! On a boat? Yes, an aluminum Koopmans 36 foot Sailboat called Wind Rose.The plan was conceived in 2006 and I've have been working towards it ever since. With the purchase of Wind Rose, our go anywhere aluminium sailboat, I committed to departure. Knowing the destination(s), the duration and a rough route I'm doing the final preparations of Wind Rose and make sure we can focus on the sailing and not worry (too much) about the ship.
