Reginald Dean "Pie" Lineberger, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on January 30, 2026 at Catawba Medical Center. He was born December 9, 1937 in Gaston County to the late Buford Lee Lineberger and Georgia Lee Starr Lineberger. Reginald was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Conover and worked for G.E. Company and Yellow Freight Systems driving trucks as a career. He was also an avid racing fan, having owned late model Sportsman #39 for many years, winning numerous championships at Hickory Motor Speedway. Reginald's family was his pride and joy, especially his great-grandson who he always called his buddy. He loved being outdoors riding on his tractor or lawnmower. Reginald enjoyed gardening and could most always be found restoring a classic car or working on anything that involved an engine or hand tools. He was married to Linda Sigmon Lineberger for 66 years, having wed on November 8, 1959, and was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Weyburn Lineberger of Maiden. Those left to cherish his memory are; Wife of 66 years: Linda Sigmon Lineberger of the home Daughter: Amy L. Burke of Maiden Grandson: Kieran "Kerry" Burke and wife Jessie of Hickory Great-Grandson: Jameson Burke of Hickory A service to celebrate Reginald's life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Conover. Rev. Anton Lagoutine will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Building Bridges, 2126 St. Johns Church Rd.
