Every year, on the final Sunday of the Liturgical Year, we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. It's a great reminder to us that just like as the Liturgical Year ends, Christ is King. So too when the created world comes to its end, Christ will be King. It also reminds us of those end times when Christ, as King, will come again. So we must begin to prepare our hearts to receive Him, which is the focus of the Advent Season, the beginning of the next liturgical year.
