This build will be about 6kwh of capacity. I'm arranging LG cells from Battery Hookup into a 14s battery. This will work well with nominal 48v equipment. I tried several different methods of attaching the cells together. I tried spot welder, rivets and bolts. In the end I think the best method is bolts with aluminum spacers. These pouch cells have short tabs. The positive tab is made of aluminum so the options of joining cells are limited. I used 3/4" aluminum blocks as my spacers and 1/8" x 1/2" aluminum bar stock as my top and bottom pieces. They are bolted together using 10x32x1.5" machine screws. The LG cells are from Battery Hookup: https://www.batteryhookup.com/?rfsn=3... Use my coupon code: DAVIDPOZ for 10% off.
