In today's video I answer a question about energy levels for BJJ training. It comes from a 3 stripe Blue Belt who says that their energy levels are all over the place. Sometimes they feel great for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu training and rolling and then other times they feel ultra lethargic. The same thing happens with lifting where their energy levels and strength is all over the place. In this video I share an important idea that more Jiu-jitsu practitioners should pay attention to which is focus on your diet and take note of what's making you feel better. And the best way to do this is to make your diet super consistent. Eat the same / similar foods everyday. While it takes discipline and may be kind of boring the results are helpful whether you're trying to lose weight, gain weight or improve your energy levels. The reason is if you're eating the same foods all the time then if you feel bad you can see how your diet has changed and make adjustments. Whereas if your diet is all over the place it's very difficult.
