I used a Valvoline 5w-30w Synthetic. Note: This snowblower calls for 16oz of oil. However, it came partially filled. Make sure you do not empty a 16oz bottle of oil. Pour oil slowly and check level often until the dipstick reads full! DO NOT Overfill! Overfilling is never good for a snowblower. 2. Fill the snowblower with Fresh Gasoline. If the snowblower is "COLD", put the choke on by turning the knob to start. 4.Press the primer 3 to 5 times. 5. Master switch to RUN. a. Pull to Start - once started, slowly turn the knob to RUN b.
