PSX SHMUPS Finally get their due! It's the Top 5 HARDEST Shoot Em Ups on the Playstation. The Sony PS1 got no respect when it came to #Shmups and the Sega Saturn got all the play, but the Playstation actually had a very large Shooter library of it's own, and no I don't mean Call of Duty. In fact, the Sony PSX had about as many #ShootEmUps as the Saturn, most just don't know it. From exclusive shmups like G Darius, Einhander, Zanac X Zanac, Gradius Gaiden and R-Type Delta, to ports like In the Hunt and Dodonpachi that exceeded their Saturn counterpart, anyone that didn't take the PS1 seriously as a Shmup machine missed out on some great games and collections. So whether you feel the Sony Playstation measured up or not to the mighty Saturn, there's no denying it was still a must own console as well for Shoot Em Up lovers.
