I always knew I was going to, but after the release of Girl On Fire the pressure was on to make sure I wrote a song that you all will love. I am first and foremost a fan of Suzanne Collins and The Hunger Games series and I wanted to make a song that related to the novel as strong as possible. I wanted to write a song that I would want to hear as a Hunger Games fan, focusing on detail to the story and characters. Being an independent artist, things are much more difficult than it is for an artist who is signed to a big label. Politics in the entertainment industry unfortunately go hand in hand. However, I am blown away by the support you have given me. You have no idea how much it means to me. I wrote this song for you. I wrote this song because you believed in me as an artist.
