ICAHD’s Jeff Halper speaks about Netanyahu’s desire for political survival thus his war on Gaza must continue despite most of the Israeli public wanting it to end. Netanyahu’s plan for total victory includes the erasure of all Palestinians with not one Hamas fighter left alive. At the beginning of September, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich revealed his plan to take 82% of the West Bank, an increase which will result in Israel possessing 90% of historic Palestine. When the UN General Assembly meets in Geneva on 23rd September, if there is a vote for Palestinian statehood, the borders must be identified otherwise their new state will consist of small, disconnected Bantustans like prison cells with them living under a super-apartheid regime. However, Jeff starts with providing a summary of ICAHD’s pioneering groundbreaking work with Palestinian partners over nearly thirty years.
