Hey divers, Regis here from 'Talk to the fish'! 🐠 This time, we're diving the incredible 'Cathedral' on Balicasag Island, but I've trimmed the fat! This is a 40-minute dynamic edit. I’ve cut the slow parts (like the long safety stops) to bring you a more action-packed immersion. PLUS, I've added a fish identification tracker so you can learn to recognize the amazing marine life we see around Panglao! As your SSI instructor, I'm excited to guide you through this famous site. We start on a sandy slope before hitting the famous wall. The visibility (around 20m) was awesome for spotting the rich life: massive clouds of anthias, beautiful lionfish (including a stunning juvenile), and a cool group of juvenile longfin batfish. 🦇 The 'Cathedral' rock formations—chimneys, crevasses, and overhangs—are the main event. The light and shadows are just epic. This edit really focuses on these amazing structures and the marine life that calls them home.
