The Apurimac Canyon Peru (Cañon de Apurimac) is considered the deepest in America and the second in the world with 3,907 meters/ 12,818 feet deep, above the canyon is nestled the Salkantay mountain range. Views are dramatic in every direction. The mighty roaring river-Rio Apurimac is also ideal to practice rafting and canoeing for several days since this river has many rapid sections and waterfalls, especially for extremes or high degrees of difficulty. The canyon is located at about 3,000 m/ 9,842 feet with very impressive landscapes such as the Salkantay mountain range.
