This is part 2, in which the unconnected earth wire is investigated, the unfused plug is dismantled and the various claims printed on the product packaging are examined for credibility. Plug is unfused. Earth wire not connected inside the plug Flex is of very poor quality, inner conductors have inconsistent insulation and are loose in the outer white covering. Individual wires of the flex contain insufficient metal and have very high resistances. The 'copper' wires in the flex are actually some other metal with a copper plating (aluminium?) All internal connections are poorly tacked together with solder. Socket terminals are very thin, easily bent and not secured at all. Excess wire left inside the device, not trimmed, high possibility of short circuits. Wires to the LED indicator not insulated and not secured in any way. All of the claims on the product packaging about protection, filtering, shutters, fusing and safety are total lies. This product has none of the features listed.
