Piano concerto 5 in Bb, 4 movements, 54’. Written between June -July 2023. For this new opus I took a different harmonic path, which was already anticipated during the writing of the 4th one. The story reflects some dynamics at work in this end of cycle world, contrasted by the inner aspiration to deliverance and peace. Main structure is a ternary form. Two (or three) main themes are developed throughout the 4 movements, as usual. To look more precisely into this count, there are in total 5 elements used, 2 which are derived from the 2 main ones exposed from the very beginning, and which are themselves very close brothers. The 3rd is derived from the 1st, but taking an autonomous firm shape. The 4th is made of a waving chromatic line, derived from the 3rd one, or played in broken arpeggio, in this case taken from the 2nd one, both symbolizing the diversion and rupture brought by the dark elements of the story. In fact, all materials could be reduced to, or issued from nearly one motive, which holds the core key of the story, and then subdivise into different organisms. I added a borrowed 5th element, progressively appearing in the work, which is a citation of one of the 8th symphony themes, as if it had evolved into a new frame. This to bridge my vision of all-interconnected elements in a global composer’s corpus. I wrote an extra long 6’ cadenza to the first movement, winking to the other famous one existing in the piano literature, allowing the piano enough improvised time to develop the contrasts generated by the present antagonisms. The cadenza use all themes through all the piano range, reaching many peak points, also anticipating the march of the 3rd movement. The 2nd movement, energetic presto, is leaving almost no reprieve to the piano, accentuating the dynamics, expressing the powerful flows triggered by the combating forces. The 3rd slow movement is like a funeral march, illustrating the soul’s dark night process and expression, also reaching high emotional peaks. The 4th movement is the summation of the 3 before parts, bringing synthesis, relief and more light to the unfolding story, without yet to fully resolve it, as to mirror the present status evoked. This concerto uses melodically more modal elements, and extended harmonies. The very end will give, as usual, a final rest in the light of peace, already hinted at the end of the 1st movement. 1- 00:00 2- 19:11 3- 24:17 4- 37:44 Thank you for watching this video please "SUBSCRIBE" to my channel and hit the Bell icon🔔🔔Click here ✅ ✅ https://www.youtube.com/@ericaron7621... 💢 WATCH OUR OTHER VIDEOS LINK BELOW ___________________________________ 🎬Piano Concerto 4 - Eric Aron : • Piano Concerto 4 - Eric Aron 🎬Wavestate Symphony, Move : • Wavestate Symphony, Movement 1 🎬 Halloween Sonata hallowee : • Halloween Sonata #halloweenchallenge 🎬Symphony 7 - Eric Aron : • Symphony 7 - Eric Aron #eric_aron #pianoconcerto #pianomusic #pianotutorial #pianolessons Searching /--eric aron piano concerto 5 aron, eric aron concertant music, eric aron piano concerto, piano concerto 5 - eric aron, eric aron music, classical music, eric aron - youtube, contemporary music, clarinet, piano concerto eric aron, eric aron, piano cover by eric aron, piano eric aron, eric aron piano, piano artist eric aron, eric aron piano music, eric aron piano music concert, eric piano music, erik satie, piano, satie Music written, orchestrated, performed, recorded by Eric Aron.
