WORSHIP GUIDE FOR EVENING PRAYER Thursday, March 5, 2026 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service Welcome Rev. Wes Allen Way of the Week #23. WORSHIP WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART. Your life is meant to be an act of worship. Every breath, action, and thought flows from God and can bring Him glory. Praise God everywhere and embrace the opportunities to regularly worship with your church family. Ideas for Action: Every morning this week, recite the Jesus Creed: “Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is One. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:29–31) Scripture Philippians 4:6-7 Rev. Allen “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Prayers of the People and Lord’s Prayer Rev. Allen Members and friends have e-mailed or texted their personal prayer requests for this evening; and, with open hearts, we receive them. Sending Blessing Rev. Allen 7:00 P.M. Worship Ministry Pastoral Staff: Rev. Wes Allen Video Technician: Rev. Wes Allen • Sunday, March 8 (Third Sunday in Lent): 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. Worship & Live stream Services: Scripture: Philippians 2:1-11. Rev. Stuart Spencer preaches: “May the Mind of Jesus Be Yours”. Church-Wide Lenten Study and Mini Retreat: The J-Curve by Paul Miller. Inconveniences, disappointments, and trials often leave us confused, cynical, even bitter. The Apostle Paul traces a pattern of dying and rising with Jesus which, like the letter “J”, goes down into death and then up into resurrection. Continually reenacting Jesus’ life— the J-Curve®—drains the energy from our cynicism as it resets our expectations for the normal Christian life. The J-Curve is so encouraging, so liberating, that once you see it, you can’t unsee it! You’ll find yourself joyfully dying and rising with Jesus in everyday life. Contact Wes Allen for Small Group sign-up opportunities. The Study will culminate in a Mini Retreat March 13-14 at our church. GROW THE KINGDOM: I will pray. I pray regularly for the ministry and mission of FPC Moorestown. Step 1: I will pray for needs and work of our congregation so that we may fulfill God’s Kingdom purposes. Those who pray use a daily prayer guide. https://www.fpcmoorestown.org/grow-th... Step 2: I will regularly pray with other members and friends for the community and congregation. I’ll join a prayer group or find a prayer partner with whom I’ll regularly pray. Evening Prayer at FPC Moorestown: Ways We Pray Together. We continue to see the Lord together on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. with our live stream Prayer Service. Some of our members and friends have joined Pastor Stuart in setting aside Thursdays as a day for Fasting and Prayer. Our Prayer Services will be about 15 minutes in length. ➢ On the first Thursday of each month, we’ll pray about our concerns as a congregation. Your prayer requests—both joys and concerns—are welcome. Please submit your prayer requests to the Church Office by 9:00 am on Wednesdays. ➢ On the second Thursday, we offer a guided prayer time using the Harvest Prayer of Jesus. This prayer time is based on the teaching of Jesus in Luke 10. We asking the Lord to make us a congregation of disciples who make disciples. ➢ On the third Thursday of each month, we’ll be praying for the important matters of racial healing and reconciliation using a time of guided prayer. ➢ On the fourth Thursday of each month, we will pray for the youth of our congregation and community. As we search for a full-time Youth Director, we’ll pray for God’s provision.
