Discover Benue State || Nigeria's Food Basket

Benue is a State in the North Central region of Nigeria. It has an estimated population of about 4,253,641 in the 2006 census. The state was created in 1976 and was among the seven states created at that time.  The Tiv people are the largest ethnic group in Benue State, occupying 14 local government areas.  The Idoma and Igede people also have a significant presence in the state, occupying the remaining nine local government areas.  Benue is also home to other ethnic groups like Etulo, Jukun, and Akweya, as well as minority groups like the Igbo, who are found in boundary areas.  #documentary #nigeria #africa #history #aroundthemotherland #benue #benuestate
