The Four Waterfalls Hike is a beautiful trail in the Brecon Beacons National Park (Bannau Brycheiniog), Wales. The trail is well-marked and relatively accessible to hikes, althoughh there are some steep and sometimes strenuous staircases to navigate. I took a trip with friends Charlie and Lydia. Almost immediately we were warned there was no swimming and indeed it was 'an offence' to swim anywhere onsite. After some research it appeared a couple of people had recently died in the area, either drowning or falling near the waterfalls. The trail is around 6 miles long, starting at Cwm Porth car park near Ystradfellte. There are four main waterfalls, named Sgwd Clun-Gwyn, Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn, Sgwd y Pannwr and Sgwd-yr-Eira, the latter having a 50 foot drop and a path leading behind it which you can walk under. Definitely recommended for a day trip! Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
