Learn more about our range of Alva cables here: https://www.synthax.co.uk/alva/ The Pulse 16 series is a series of high quality AD/DA converters from German pro audio manufacturer Ferrofish, featuring extensive I/O connectivity as well as intuitive front panel controls and remote control operation via Ferrofish’s RemoteFish software application. Comprised of three different models – the Pulse 16, Pulse 16 MX, and the Pulse 16 DX - all three units provide a vast collection of analogue and digital I/O, with 16 balanced TRS inputs and 16 balanced TRS outputs, MIDI in and out for remote control functionality, BNC Word Clock I/O, and 4 ADAT inputs and 4 ADAT outputs. The Pulse 16 MX builds on this impressive I/O with the addition of optical MADI, allowing for up to an additional 64 channels at 48kHz, and up to 16 channels at 192kHz in both directions, at distances up to 2km. The flagship Pulse 16 DX adds the networking capabilities of Audinate's Dante through its two RJ45 connectors. As with the MADI I/O, up to 64 channels can be sent in each direction at 44.1 or 48 kHz, and up to 16 channels at 192kHz - simply plug the Pulse 16 DX into your network and you’re ready to go, with 16 additional network-ready inputs and outputs. All three Pulse 16 converters feature simple and user-friendly front-panel controls, with full I/O monitoring available at a glance via dual TFT displays. The intuitive menu system provides control over all input and output gains - which can be adjusted individually; in stereo pairs; or in groups of 4, 8 and 16 channels - alongside other settings such as clocking and signal routing, which is achieved in blocks of 8 channels. Additionally, the Pulse 16 can store and recall up to six presets, and the front mounted headphone port allows for monitoring of any stereo or mono signal with only a few clicks.
