The first anti-virus software was developed in Israel in 1979. 5. The centers of the Baha’i faith are in Acre and Haifa, Israel. The Terraces of the Shrine of the Báb, also known as the Hanging Gardens of Haifa, are garden terraces around the Shrine of the Báb on Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel. 6. Jerusalem, Israel, has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, captured and recaptured 44 times and it's one of the world's oldest cities. 7. Israel is one of the few countries in the world to draft women into Military service. The normal length of compulsory service is currently three years for men and two years for women, although there are exceptions made on religious, physical or psychological grounds.
