An Evening on the Sea | Kayaking through the Åland Islands

I’m wishing you all a Happy Easter! I spent most of my weekend kayaking close to home. It was a very foggy, yet still Easter, perfect for some moody paddling. I heard and saw lots of birds. I was especially happy to spot some common eiders, a sea duck species native to the Northern Hemisphere and the Baltic Sea. Their numbers have been rapidly declining in recent years, so I was happy to see them. I love the solitude out on the ocean, especially in spring when hardly anyone else is out in their boats. It felt like I had the whole world to myself. Thank you for watching!
