We will be trying something different. Instead of doing just Impossible difficulty runs, we'll be adding a twist and playing on remix. Remix offers a variety of options, allowing you to use different ant combinations in different levels, including the campaign levels, extra levels, and even demo levels! Remix is quite customizable, allowing you to change ants/termites, their queen type *(Some queens are level locked due to balancing, ex: Leafcutter queens only in rainforest levels)*, can use ereptor abilities, change New Game+ as you wish, and even change between story stats and custom game stats! There is also some limitable with ant combinations (ex: no medics in leafcutter colonies, due to some bug with medics and leafcutter minims). Despite this, Remix mode is very customizable and many possibilities for unique challenges! In this remix video, we'll be playing Firebreak, the twist, we'll be using bigheaded ants, a fire ant colony's biggest challenge. The bigheaded ants have landed in this rainforest and the queen needs to grow fast to challenge the ever-growing fire ants. At the same time, the colony will need to defend their supply lines from 2 native leafcutter colonies. The fire ants already have their eye on them as well. Can these bigheaded ants grow fast enough to challenge the fire ant colony... or even maybe eliminate them completely? =================================== 0:00 - Start 0:27 - Day 1 9:00 - Night 1 14:15 - Invading the fire ants! =================================== General tips: Bigheaded supersoldiers will carry you the entire way. Make at least 10 level 3 of these supersoldiers, more if you have spare food. Use workers early on and for late game. They are cheap and can be used to collect food while your soldiers are outside fighting. Bigheeaded majors can be made into decent gatherers. Using custom game stats makes them decent tanks for your supersoldiers. Use the time from when the fire ants attack both leafcutter colonies to gather food and build your forces up. Both leafcutters will buy you time to get yourself ready to defeat the fire ants. Upgrades or numbers for soldiers, either works. -Save food for respawns when fighting enemies, to keep fresh termites/ants coming into the fight. Extra nest workers to help with egg replacement, only start getting extra nest workers once your army becomes large. Use multiple markers to cover multiple areas at once and to split up your forces to help fight enemies or gather food. =================================== Empires of the Undergrowth is an ant colony management game, in a fast-paced real-time strategy style.
