Marcus Dawe focuses on developing and supporting emerging technologies that provide the innovation edge for Australia. He is a serial entrepreneur and has had success with many of his Canberra based ventures including EDIME Internet Agency and Revolution CD. Marcus is the CEO of GreenMag Group and Mineral Carbonation International (MCi) which has won Federal and NSW Government funding to pilot CO2 storage technology. In this talk, Marcus describes the process in which mineral carbonation can assist in controlling climate change. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
