When We Receive the Holy Spirit, the Explosive Work of the Gospel Will Take Place The saints of the early Church prayed earnestly for ten days from Ascension Day to the Day of Pentecost. On the Pentecost, they received the Holy Spirit which allowed them to have bold faith and rapidly spread the gospel.
