At 3pm (UK time) on Monday, 29th June 2020, we'll be live-streaming Prof Astrid Erll's keynote lecture at the Connecting Memories 2020 Symposium. *** On 29th June 2020, the Connecting Memories 2020 Symposium will be taking place online, bringing together an international group of scholars for a day of interdisciplinary study. After a series of panel presentation and discussion sessions, the CM2020 Symposium will comprise of a keynote lecture and masterclass with Prof Astrid Erll (Goethe-Universität Frankfurt). The keynote lecture is the only part of the symposium that will be live-streamed. The title for Prof Erll's talk will be 'Corona and Collective Memory'. We are grateful to the Scottish Graduate School for the Arts and Humanities (SGSAH) for their generous support funding this event. *** Co-founded by Paul Leworthy and Dr Bárbara Fernández Melleda, Connecting Memories is a collaborative interdisciplinary research initiative opening up a space for scholars working on memory to interact, to share their perspectives and reflections on what memory means in the context of their research. For more information, please visit https://www.connectingmemories.org. You may also be interested in the Connecting Memories Podcast. You can listen at https://anchor.fm/connectingmemories or search 'Connecting Memories' on Spotify or Apple podcasts. *** NOTE: We had a few teething problems getting this livestream to work and unfortunately many of the people attempting to watch the stream were unable to access it. Nonetheless many were able to watch it and the keynote, as you will see here, was a fantastic lecture and the session was a great success.
