For each setup volume and tone control are at full position, the strings are d'addario flatwound The PJ bass is in my opinion the best combo you can get, i am running that bb bass through a tech 21 sansamp bass driver di v2 with the fat tube config Using both pickup also give me a lighter attack and better articulation and i can express myself better while playing. Using only the Neck-pickup give you a very vintage and distinctive P-bass sound but it also require a stronger attack on my hands that i really dont like, so i prefer to use the bridge pickup together a neck pickup. Also the sansamp bass driver seems to work better with both pickup, if i have to go direct in without the sansamp i might roll off the bridge pickup a little and turn the tone control halfway to get that vintage sound
