CCP stands for capture compare PWM and is a peripheral which allows the user to time and control different events. The function of different modes are: Capture mode: allows timing for the duration of an event. Compare mode: compare values contained in two registers and trigger an external event. PWM mode: Pulse width modulation mode generate signals of varying frequency and duty cycle.
