1927 Bath School Disaster - Deep Dive

The story of the Bath School Disaster, the deadliest attack on a school in American history, where Andrew Kehoe, a disgruntled farmer upset he had to pay high taxes for the school in Bath, Michigan, blew up the school in 1927. Over 70 years before Columbine, Kehoe’s rampage resulted in the deaths of 45 people, most of them young schoolchildren. This video covers Kehoe’s life, from growing up on a farm, the brain injury he sustained while learning electrical engineering, how he came to own the farm in Bath, his many grudges and feuds with the school board, and how he managed to obtain and plant over 500 pounds of explosives, and how the small town of Bath and the news media dealt with the aftermath.
