We smashed three types of guardrail glass to see how they really perform: tempered, EVA laminated, and SentryGlas. Using a weighted impact bag, we recreated the code-required safety test — and the results might surprise you. From tempered shattering, to EVA folding, to SentryGlas standing tall, this test shows exactly why material choice matters in glass guardrails. We also break down what the International Building Code (IBC) says about guardrail safety, fall protection, and when each type of glass can (and can’t) be used. This video is part crash-test spectacle, part glazing education — with some slow-mo shots and fun clips mixed in. If you’re an architect, engineer, project manager, or glazier, you’ll walk away with a clear understanding of why safety glazing choices matter long after installation.
