Fans angry about th outcome of a match had invaded the pitch and police responded with tear gas triggering the deadly crash at Kanjuruhan stadium in the eastern city of Malang. Fans of Arema FC reportedly stormed the pitch after their team lost to their bitter rival Persebaya Surabaya for the first time in more than 20 years.
