The Great Sea has always been one of my all-time favorite VGM tracks to exist, and when I had the idea for a chill 'island vacation' take on the theme, I knew I had to put it together for the #SoundoleChillOut2022 competition! So grab a fruity umbrella drink, sit back, and relax while we sail across the Great Sea beyond distant horizons! I wish I could say that making this cover was just like any other, but this was honestly the most difficult time I've ever had putting together a video. Literally, the day after my fiancée and I filmed all of the footage you're seeing, we tested positive for COVID. While we were incredibly fortunate to not face any major health issues as a result, we still spent the next couple of days feeling absolutely terrible. Due to the deadline of the 2022 Soundole Chill Out Cover Competition (and my sincere love for the music of Wind Waker), I didn't want this effort to go to waste, so despite the aches and pains, I worked for about four days straight to finish this cover and (thanks to the always-unanticipated technical issues) found myself uploading it moments before the deadline. Overall I'm incredibly proud of this cover and hope that you can enjoy it as much as I loved putting it together!
