Taliban Returns | What does it mean for Afghan women | Mojo Report

Mojo Story's Madan Lal reports from outside of the Canada Embassy in India at Chanakyapuri in New Delhi where several women were protesting and urging authorities to help them get visa to leave for Canada. A young girl student told Mojo Story that her family is residing in India for the last 14 years. "Our relatives are dying in Afghanistan", she says. The lives of these Afghan women will drastically change following the Taliban coming back to power in Kabul. Their fundamental rights like education & employment will no more be allowed to pursue, one of them said. These women live in the fear that their right to individuality and freedoms may come under the scanner. However, Taliban leadership has vowed in their first press conference to honour women's rights but in accordance with Sharia laws.
