Demonstrative pronouns or adjectives are used when we point to people or things that are or located near us or far from us. The words this, that, these, and those can function both as demonstrative adjectives or demonstrative pronouns. If they are followed by nouns in sentences , they function as adjectives , but if they are not followed by nouns, they function as pronouns. When they function as pronouns , they can be used either as subjects or as objects in our sentences. In other words , they could be brought before main verbose or after main verbs in sentences. In this lesson, I have explained the functions and usages of demonstrative adjectives or pronouns by giving clear and comprehensive examples. I hope that watching this video till the end will help you learn how to use the above mentioned words correctly in both your spoken and written English.
