Starting out with a totally new environment can be a daunting task to say the least. I guess we all suffer to some degree from the dislike of having to give up something familiar and relearn everything all over again. And no less so when the concepts and vocabulary too are involved. Getting a grasp on Camelot Pro is more than just switching DAW, but perhaps you might think it is worth it in the end? You’ll be introduced to a highly modular setup, much like guitarists' stompbox signal chains, but for both audio and MIDI. There are some really great gains to be had here, but at the same time, it is somewhat of an investment. You’ll be thinking in terms like scenes, layers, songs, and song lists rather than audio or midi tracks and standard channel strips. So this video is intended solely for the budding MIDI Guitar2/Camelot pro user that can’t even find where to put MIDI Guitar 2, to begin with. I am going over three different ways to use MIDI Guitar 2 in combination with the Camelot Pro environment: As a plugin on a scene layer (level), as a plugin on a Song Rack or setlist layer (level), and as standalone beside Camelot, using both software in tandem rather. I am also using MIDI Mapping presets (I made for a previous video on the new SWAM woodwinds) and here is the link to that again, for anyone interested in getting a running start using the SWAM instruments with MIDI Guitar. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vqhig5ailu... This video is on the issue of integrating MIDI Guitar2 with Camelot Pro specifically and assumes you have a working setup already, I.e it does not address any question of audio interface setup or similar matters. I am working under the assumption that there might have to be some additional videos made further down the line. Special interests can be something for the comment section.
