I recently bought a Rode Videomic Go. I read that some people were experiencing sound Interference such as popping, hissing, and/or clicking. I did not want to believe it and the first test I did with the mic had a steady clicking. I realized that I was near my MacBook Pro and when I moved away, the sound stopped. I came to the conclusion that it might be the WiFi or Bluetooth causing interference. I read on a forum that the wire might be acting as an antenna and will pick up the signal, causing the sound issue. One option was to Tuen off the WiFi and Bluetooth radios. I decided to try and insulate the wire as a test. I wrapped the wire in aluminum foil and then with electrical tape so that it did not look horrible. When I used the mic with this new set up, I did not notice any interference. I may try to find another way to insulate the wire, but for now it works. I hope it helps you if you have this issue.
