Here is my results. I will be uploading videos as I go and would love your feedback. I am in no position at this stage to offer any advice or feedback on Cold Process Soap Making. I am learning this craft myself too. :) This loaf (1092 grams) scented with Very Vanilla Please feel free to write a comment below. This is the recipe I used for this loaf, but as you know, i'm still learning this process, so keep that in mind that it might NOT work for you. Water: 193 grams ( 6.80 oz )( 25% water discount ) Lye : 109 grams ( 3.84 oz ) Add half tea spoon sea salts and brown/white sugar into the water and make SURE it dissolves fully. Once it's all liquid, add your lye and lightly stir for 10 second. Then leave until 100 F (37.7c) Note if you have sugar or salt still in the water when you add the lye it will harden and it will not dissolve anymore. So make sure it's all dissolved. Add your lye in a well ventilated area (or outside). Fragrance: 35 grams ( 1.23 oz ) (split into 2 lots) Olive Oil : 250 grams ( 8.81 oz ) Coconut Oil (Copha) : 250 grams ( 8.81 oz ) - Melt down Lard : 125 grams ( 4.40 oz ) - Melt down Sunflower Oil : 75 grams ( 2.64 oz ) Rice Bran Oil : 75 grams ( 2.64 oz ) Melt down = 100f (37.7c) so they are the same (or around) as the lye water. I also use Vanilla Color Stabilizer from BrambleBerry https://www.brambleberry.com/vanilla-... I used half the fragrance in half the batter, and the other half I used fragrance + vanilla color stabilizer. The fragrance only batter has gone brown and will continue to darken over time. The batter with the stabilizer had retained it's original color.
