While the TELUMACT version looks a bit like the 6x30 Marineglas with 40mm lenses, the TELACTO version already had the design of the post-war version of the D.F. 8x40, which was based on the DELACTIS. However, the WWI versions did not yet have the wide field of view of the DELACTIS. The TELUMACT version was still made of brass parts due to the early production, while the TELACTO versions then increasingly consisted of zinc parts due to the shortage economy as the war progressed.
