I loved this garden, there were so many beautiful, dreamy roses in one location. I was there for about three hours and only saw about half the garden. I didn’t make it to the other two main areas, the Shakespeare Garden and the Gold Metal Garden. I also completely missed the David Austin test area by the tennis courts. It is very much worth a visit, especially if you’re in the Portland area. I would recommend going as early as possible if you’re driving there, or, if like me, you like to look at every rose on every rose bush and tree 🤣🤣. I was at the garden at 8:30am on a Saturday. There was a handful of people, and it was peaceful and relaxing. By 11:30am it became incredibly busy and the small parking lot was jammed. My takeaways are that Bolero is a very dreamy rose with a strong, amazing scent, Olivia Rose Austin is indeed a very pretty pink rose, and Scentimental is stunning. Munstead Wood is the first red rose I would put on my wishlist.
