Add this itinerary / route to a trip to Mackinac Island. That’s what we did…and we loved it. This route took us from Grand Rapids, Michigan (we flew into Gerald R. Ford International Airport and rented a car) through the cities of Empire, Glen Arbor, Leland, Traverse City, Harbor Springs and ended at Mackinac City.
