Multan Sewerage Mega Projects Fast-Tracked Under Punjab Development Program | 25.8 Billion Approved Multan is witnessing rapid progress under the Punjab Development Program as major sewerage projects move forward to resolve long-standing drainage issues. A detailed briefing was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, where elected representatives, ticket holders, and political figures were informed about the ongoing development work and timelines. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nauman Siddique, MPA Salman Naeem, Haji Javed Akhtar Ansari, Malik Abdul Ghaffar Dogar, Dr. Akhtar Malik, Ahmad Hussain Dehar, Sheikh Tariq Rasheed, Shahzad Maqbool Bhutta, and Syed Babar Shah attended the session. Officials shared updates on WASA’s mega projects, revealing that the Punjab government has approved development schemes worth Rs. 25.8 billion. These initiatives aim to provide a permanent solution to Multan’s sewerage problems. A 232-kilometer sewerage pipeline will be laid across the city, while two major disposal stations are being upgraded to improve drainage efficiency. A modern disposal station on Old Shujabad Road is also under development, which is expected to significantly reduce sewerage issues in surrounding areas. Additionally, new WASA machinery is expected to arrive before June, enhancing sanitation and drainage operations. Authorities expressed confidence that within one year, the completion of these mega projects will lead to a noticeable improvement in Multan’s sewerage system. Moreover, 400 water purification plants are already fully operational, ensuring the supply of clean drinking water to citizens. The Deputy Commissioner has directed all departments to ensure the timely completion of these projects to provide relief to the public. #Multan #PunjabDevelopment #WASA #SewerageProject #PakistanDevelopment #CleanWater #UrbanDevelopment #BreakingNews #Multan #PunjabDevelopmentProgram #SewerageProjects #WASA #PakistanNews #Development #Infrastructure #CleanWater #PublicService #BreakingNews
