AUTHORS CHAT AND MORE WITH DIANE HULL Welcome to Episode 4 of Authors Chat - and more, with Award-Winning Children's Author, Diane Hull and myself, Beth Jordan. Her First book, titled 'Be Happy To Be You, is one of seven that she has now written 'Baby Bird wasn't happy. He wanted to play with the fish and the horses and the frogs. But they won't play with him... Because he is blue.' Diane Hull is a retired Primary School Teacher, specialising in the Early Years. She is very much in touch with what young children like to read. Educated at Manchester Metropolitan University, Diane graduated with a B A (Hons) First Class in Early Childhood Studies and is a member of the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators. Diane's message through her childrens' books have a very strong message which her young readers are embracing and fully in touch with. The message of 'it's ok to be different' and accepting of differences is an importance message that, in my opinion is required more and more to be shared with children, to help them to see the world in a more positive and generous manner. It's a message that we too as adults need to embrace to allow multi-culturalism to flourish and allow all of us to be outstanding, to be who we are, to not be judged and to be accepted by all, around the world.
