These models are the best from the major manufacturers that were never surpassed. New technologies and innovation in cartridge design has been stagnant since the 1990s mainly due to the vinyl record sales collapse. Even the current line of cartridges is based on technologies from the 1970’s. Here is a reminder of what cartridges used to be with light tracking forces, high tracking ability and low distortion.
