Huge inferno erupts in Malaysia after major gas leak

A burst gas pipe sent a column of flame shooting skyward on Tuesday in a Malaysian suburb outside Kuala Lumpur, injuring more than a hundred people and prompting evacuations of nearby homes. The column of fire near a gas station in Putra Heights in the central Selangor state was visible for miles. Pictures and videos of the fireball went viral on social media, with some residents saying they felt the doors and windows of their homes shaking believed to be due to the fire explosion earlier. A total of 112 people were injured in the incident the Straits Times reported, with 63 being taken to three local hospitals and the remaining 49 receiving treatment at a medical base set up at a nearby Hindu temple.
