Iran has established a safe corridor for Indian ships in the Strait of Hormuz to ensure secure navigation amid rising tensions in West Asia. Following a phone call between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on March 12, a special arrangement was made for nearly 24 Indian vessels. The corridor allows ships to follow a designated safe route near Iran’s Larak Island, enabling the IRGC Navy and port authorities to monitor and secure maritime traffic.
