Will it print? 3D printing with recycled color change purge waste

When MultiColor 3D printing, impure colors must be purged out during every color change. This leads to much wasted filament. But does it need to be wasted? In this video we attempt to re-extrude the waste purge blobs from that are created during the purge procedure with the SimplyColor3D retractable purge mechanism. We then print with the recycled material to compare the quality with virgin 3D filament. The entire extrusion process is illustrated from blob to spool. We use a Filabot filament extruder and Filawinder spool winder. The virgin pellets are from Filabot as is the black masterbatch.
