To celebrate Pride Month, Brad Fraser, Canada's "Bad Boy of National and International Theatre", joins us for a rich conversation about the art of caregiving in the gay community and how his real life experiences of caring for friends dying during the AIDS epidemic, and more recently for his upstairs neighbour Shirley, have informed his art. Please join host, Donna Thomson, for this very special conversation with one of Canada's greatest living playwrights. Together, they will explore profound themes of community, care, and identity, bridging the deeply personal and public spheres of storytelling to create art that resonates with us all. About our speaker: Brad Fraser is an award-winning and internationally renowned playwright with a reputation for being dark, witty, often shocking, and always controversial. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, in 1959, Fraser has been writing for theatre and winning awards since his teens. His plays have been produced worldwide including Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Cinncinati, Washington DC, New York, Edinburgh, London, Sydney, Milan, and Tokyo. Brad Fraser currently lives in Toronto.
