Social Network Analysis of Chinese Novel– The Outlaws of the Marsh

Sharing Chinese Culture： the novel tells the story of a group of 108 heroes who gradually gather at Liangshan Marsh to fight the corrupt government. They come from various backgrounds—farmers, scholars, and even ex-officials. For various reasons, they join Liangshan one after another and eventually form a large cluster. I built weighted co-occurrence networks using Python (networkx, itertools), analyzing 2.9K+ relationship edges and computing graph theory metrics to identify power shifts and key broker roles of the network of my favorite classical Chinese novel - The Outlaws of the Marsh
