A mother who followed me on social media reached out to me to get some advice on her son situation. He had his Kia Optima repossessed in September 2024 and now he wants to get into a different car such as a luxury car. He had in his mind at Bmw, but after me and his mom gave him some good advice about buying a cash car with the little money he has saved for a down payment, and his recent repossession would do him no good because it would get him into a vehicle at a really high interest rate. We recommended that he wait until he is a little bit more established and possibly go back to school and elevate his career so he can be in a better financial position. He does have a OK credit score to get into a vehicle, but since he had a recent repossession, most banks will leverage that and give him a high interest rate on an auto loan if he were to get a BMW in the end, this was a good call.
