Have you been searching for the perfect illusion net for the wedding gown you are designing? Are you repairing a damaged bridal gown and need matching fabric? This video is for you!! This is Part 2 in my Design a Bridal Line Series Here's some terminology for your searches: Types of stretch commonly available: 2 way and 4 way. Power mesh: A strong, durable, stretchy fabric Illusion tulle: Very fine tulle most commonly used for veils or bridal skirts Open mesh: Netting Net fabric: can include mesh or tulle (these two above terms are used in very circular ways.) Shape of holes: Bobbinett: Hex mesh or honeycomb is 6 sided Filet net: Diamond, 4 sided, very fine tulle. (There are also a square & an octagonal which is rare for fine bridal.) Gauge: The size of the holes. Netting is made by: weaving, knitting, knotting, interloping, or fusing thermoplastic fibers Hand ranges from soft, to stiff, to coarse I'll add the links to any of the samples that I happened to miss posting in the video.
