My first trip onboard the 44T2, and my first trip onboard one of these BYD Gemilang vehicles. 8396 is one of several short-wheelbase BYDs based at Leichhardt Depot in Region 6, operating T2 rail replacement services. The 44T2 goes from Central to Strathfield, but my journey on this bus is only a short one, from Burwood to Strathfield. Overall, I found the ride quality similar to TSA's Scania K320UBs - the suspension on these electrics isn't great. But these vehicles are of MUCH better build quality that CDCNSW's BYD-Volgrens, which also date from early 2021. Honestly, I don't think these vehicles deserve much of the criticism they seem to be getting. This is going to be my last bus video until Christmas (wink wink). In the meantime, I have lots of old SCR footage that I will be releasing very frequently, to celebrate the impending end of 2025. Yippee. *Specifications*: Chassis: BYD D9RA 4x2 (11.8m)^ Bodywork: Gemilang 'Eco City' Air Conditioning: Thermo King, unknown model (possibly 'Cool-Series')^ Capacity: 58 passengers (37 seated, 21 standing)* Seating: McConnell 'Metro' bench seats and McConnell 'Super Slim' flip seats Destination Equipment: Hanover 'G4' LED displays (Front 144x19 [G4.006], side 96x15 [G4.012], rear 32x17 [G4.020]) ^Unverified. *The Bus Australia Fleet Lists state 38 seated, which is incorrect Edited with InShot
