I found this great 1990 Trek Singletrack 950 with a lugged frame a few weeks back on marketplace. It has the Trek branded seat stay lugs so I just had to have it! I immediately knew what I wanted to do with it when I saw it. Build a UTB. A UTB is exactly what it sounds like, A Utility Bicycle! A do all and smile while doing it bicycle. A bike that says “you don’t need spandex to ride me but you wouldn’t be out of place if you did! Grocery runs? Check! Round town cruisin? Check! Group ride with friends? Check! Load it up and go bike packing!? Check! Of course I’m just building the base for all this. Whoever gets this bike can add all the racks and bags they desire to make it do all those things… or not. LOL. The choice is theirs!
